Oral Cancer Screening is Important!  It only takes 3-7 seconds to complete a screening, which might be life saving seconds.  Oral cancer will affect over 43,000 Americans this year.  One person dies every hour from oral cancer. Early detection can have an 80 – 90% survival rate.  When in doubt check it out!

Signs to look for ( but not limited to ) :

Red or white discolorations in the soft tissue of the mouth.

Sores that do not heal within 14 days.

Hoarseness that lasts for a prolonged period of time.

Numbness in the oral region.

Sensation that something is stuck in your throat.

Ear pain on one side only.

A lump or thickening that develops in the mouth or the neck.

Be aware.  Avoid risk factors, which include tobacco in all of it’s forms and alcohol.
