Dr. Shane Sudman

Hi, I’m Dr. Shane G. Sudman. I was born and raised in a small farming town in southeast Nebraska, where I grew up working for both of my grandfathers farming and roofing. To understand how this lead to my decision to become a dentist, please view my YouTube video.
After graduating from Nebraska’s dental school in 1998, I moved to Chicago with my 1989 Chevy Beretta, clothes and CD player. I completed a one year externship in the Loop and upon completion, I joined a dental office in Tinley Park where I practiced until opening Atrium Family Dental in 2011. As a dentist, people ask me how I put my hands in other people’s mouths and I say “very carefully.”
In 2004, I met my wife, Sara, in where else but Nebraska! It took some convincing and a marriage proposal to finally get her to move to Chicago in 2009. Then in February 2012, we welcomed our daughter Belen to the cold winter days of Chicago; luckily, Belen is just like her mother.
Professionally, I am a member of four dental organizations and every year, our office teams up with Dentistry from the Heart, which is a national organization that works with local dentists to provide a day of free dental care to anyone in need. We have a solid team and pride ourselves in taking excellent care of our patients. I look forward to meeting you and your family.
“Best bed side manners I have ever experienced from a doctor. Thank you for all you do for our family!” – Mike M.
